The City of Sydney has an ambitious program of cycleway construction across the whole of its local government area. Green Square is an area within the city that is undergoing radical transformation from a largely industrial area to a high rise, high density residential neighbourhood and, among the environmental initiatives that are being built in, is the support of active transport.
COMPLETE has provided planning, concept design and construction documentation of the on-road, bi-directional cycleway link from the former South Sydney Hospital site in Zetland through Green Square, and then connecting into the Randwick Council network to the east.
Our work has not only dealt with the complex existing site constraints, but has also had to take into account the changes that will be happening along the route over the coming 10 years.
