COMPLETE Urban provided Design and Construction Project Management Services to assist Centennial Parklands (the Trust) on the Moore Park Golf Driving Range Synthetic Surfacing Project. This involved comprehensive design input and then the roll out of the synthethic surface work including design layout, grading, drainage, synthetic yam specifications, infill etc. We commenced the work on a well-established project foundation and presented a complete project to the Trust in time for the busy season.

Synthetic Turf is usually used for Sports field such as football (soccer), rugby and hockey thus using synthetic turf on a driving range outfiled to emulate natural golf ball behavior is a pioneering work in NSW. The Moore Park Golf Driving Range Outfield has been refitted with synthetic turf using innovative techniques for design and fixing to steep slopes. Sand infill and multiple grated drain (covered with porous synthetic turf) are installed to prevent material migration downward and maintain the slope stability. In addition, the design considered contamination prevention solutions and high wear from regular ball pickup machine. Strict maintenance regime is in placed to ensure the longevity of the turf and aesthetic hence maximizing customer experience.
