Victoria Park

Location: Inverell, NSW
Project type: Landscape Architecture, Engineering
Budget: $30,000
Status: Completed
Organisation: Inverell Shire Council

The traditional central parkland for Inverell had lost its focus as an attractive community ‘go to‘ space.

A great deal of community consultation had been carried out and a sound brief outlined desired components.

COMPLETE commenced this project by implementing various elements into a layout that served the community in an exciting and practical way. Ideas were introduced to revitalise the cultural heritage and recognition of the park while reducing maintenance and improving safety of existing facilities. This plan was received with great enthusiasm.

A Victorian fountain and garden area were reinstated and entry arches of local stone were designed. A war memorial and picnic area were added as well as a children’s cycleway.
