What our staff say:

Nnamdi Orji, Architectural Assistant

What has your career path been like at Complete Urban?

Since joining COMPLETE my career progression has continually and interestingly evolved. I have learnt a lot about the design processes in Australia. I cannot overstate the impact the varied nature of my roles has played in developing my knowledge and skills set. I have been encouraged to broaden my expertise and skills set and develop new skills by ever helpful colleagues.

What is the best part of your role?

The tasks and challenges are different every day. One day you can be working a conceptual design, the next day you are on a different project, the next day you are working on Construction Drawings. While constantly switching between roles can be challenging, it helps to keep things interesting.

Why do you work here?

COMPLETE presents an opportunity to work on varied public building types. The size of the firms means I am given increased responsibility and opportunities to work on different aspects of projects, picking up a broad range of vital experiences that are not available in much bigger firms. Also, this role aligns with my personal development pathway to eventually becoming a registered Architect in Australia.

What is the team like?

A supportive and experienced group, they are always happy to assist others when they need a helping hand with work. It is a fun group to be a part of. I love that there is a genuine spirit of cooperation and shared goals and a dedication to getting the job done.

What is your favourite part of working here?

Most of the time you are working as part of the group to construct a building that will be around for years. That I played an active part in achieving that is a very rewarding experience.

Erin Oxnam, Corporate Support

What has your career path been like at Complete Urban?

My path at COMPLETE has been full of learning opportunities. I wasn’t familiar with the industry when I started the role, but quickly began to understand the services we provide and our relationship dynamics with Local Government. I enjoy the day to day administrative tasks but have also been fortunate to be able to work on  a variety of large and important projects including being Land Access Coordinator for the nbnTM rollout, and working on the relaunch of COMPLETE’s website.

What is the best part of your role?

I enjoy the variety of tasks I get to do and the way I’ve been able to bring my skills gathered from previous positions and find ways to utilise them at COMPLETE. I also enjoy being a central resource for the Gold Coast office and able to help team members with different and varied tasks.

What is the team like?

The team is very professional and friendly. There is varied depth and knowledge bases within the team which provides opportunities to learn from the years of experience. Everyone is always willing and able to answer any questions you have and do their best to help. The culture at COMPLETE is professional, casual, friendly and allows for an ideal working environment.

Paul Knox, Principal Landscape Architect

What has your career path been like at Complete Urban?

I started as an occasional landscape resource to be spliced into existing work, and the role has expanded into bringing in work, managing part of the business and having a chance to represent the company on a number of occasions.

What is the best part of your role?

I feel that I have the license to pursue design objectives as I feel they should be pursued, and that I am supported in that. I have also been able to work flexible hours in recent times, which has enabled me to pursue some other ambitions – such as participating in a voluntary youth mentoring program targeting high school students.

Why do you work here?

I am totally on board with the focus of the company on public domain, public clients.

What is the team like?

Young, hard-working, talented, generally tolerant of my foibles.
