Byron Depot Operations Review and Masterplan

COMPLETE Urban has been engaged by the Byron Shire Council to develop a masterplan for te Council Works Depot as well as a review of operational aspects of the depot.

The scope of works for this masterplan strategy includes:

• An assessment of current floor areas, operation and functional requirements of proposed floor areas at the Bayshore Drive Depot site.
• A Functional Relationship Diagram (FRD) that plots activity in the depot and is used to optimise work flows in the depot.
• Review alternative sites and gain an understanding of the opportunities and constraints of each site relative to works necessary to provide an operational facility. The sites will be shortlisted based on a high level assessment and comparison criteria.
• Concept Depot Masterplan options for each shortlisted site.

The Council also identified that the current operations of the Bayshore Drive site may be better relocated to an alternative site and that the current site be redeveloped or sold.
