Colbee Park is a 10 hectare district sporting park located at the intersection of three suburbs, McGraths Hill, Vineyard and Oakville. COMPLETE Urban were engaged to undertake a business case and visualisation for the project’s WestInvest grant application.
The proposed Colbee Park project will improve facilities, cater for changing demographics and secure a long-term future in increased participation in physical active, increase equity outcomes, cater for disability, and facilitate social cohesion.The Colbee Park Redevelopment will involve:
- Constructing a children’s playground;
- Expand existing BMX facilities with the creation of a pump track;
- Fitness stations and teen playground;
- Establish a designated dog off-leash area;
- Improve parking within the site;
- Establish a shared path network with connections to the Pitt Town Road pathway network;
- Improve and create additional shelters with barbecue facilities;
- Improve existing amenities buildings.
