Limestone Park Netball Courts – New Amenities Building

Location: Limestone Park, QLD
Project type: Architectural
Budget: $843,000 (Construction Estimate)
Status: Design Completed
Organisation: Ipswich City Council

Complete were engaged by Ipswich City Council to design a new amenities buildings for the existing Netball Facility at Limestone Park following a successful application for funding in the Females Facilities Program. This program aims to assist sporting and recreation organisations to develop functional and inclusive female amenities that meet current and future needs of the participants. The building is a single story building located close to existing facilities and provides female toilets and showers as well as including a referees room, first aid room and new fully compliant disability toilet including a shower and baby change facilities.

The design is consistent with Council’s typical architectural design for similar facilities. The building siting is located on a sloping part of the site and careful positioning was required to minimise the removal of trees and to avoid existing underground services. As a value add, the sloped land between the building and the edge of the netball courts was terraced to provide a casual seating area.
