Woollahra Municipal Council committed to upgrading sections of the footpath along New South Road at the intersections at Newcastle Road and Dover Road to improve the overall safety of the area. The commercial centre of Rose Bay, this section of footpath needed to enhance the existing streetscape and provide greater amenity for pedestrians and vehicles.
COMPLETE’s design features new paving to match the existing streetscape, extra benches, new low-lying planting, small shrubs in planter boxes and native trees planted.Typical issues that would be dealt with when designing facilities such as this would be relocation of traffic signals, provision for landscaping and street furniture, pedestrian safety, retain of existing parking and providing adequate drainage.
