COMPLETE were engaged to prepare detailed design documentation to upgrade 700m of Redbank Plains Road from 2 lanes to 4 lanes as part of Ipswich City Council’s Transport Program – Strategic Road Network Improvements.
Detailed design included:
- 4 lanes including bicycle lanes and concrete footpaths from Lyn Street through to Glen Fairlie Avenue and associated works to side streets
- Traffic signals at the intersection of Redbank Plains Road and Frawley Drive
- Street lighting
- Roadway geometric design
- Stormwater design & catchment analysis
- Pavement design
- Facilitation of service relocation designs
- Rehabilitation of the kerb and channel to Glen Noble Avenue through to No.10
- Service lane fronting No’s. 497 to 505 Redbank Plains Road
- Service lane fronting No’s. 468 to 486 Redbank Plains Road
- Retaining wall structures
- Relocation of existing Energex high voltage electricity network
- Bill of quantities (BOQ) in TMR format (using MRS work items)
- Estimate of cost (TMR format)
- Signage & line marking design
- Specifications including reference to MRTS documents and completed MRTS annexures
