Complete Urban were engaged by Ipswich City Council, to design a new amenities building and camp kitchen at the Rosewood Showgrounds camping area.
The building is to fit into its surroundings including a recent showground pavilion building. The design achieves this by using similar materials and colours to existing buildings on site.
The site is flood affected and Complete were responsible for floor modelling the site and the resultant design is elevated off the ground with flood waters flowing through beneath the building structure.
The building is accessed via a series of walkways and ramps to provide equitable access for all. The design is a low key domestic type building that suits the rural surroundings and provides clean and modern facilities for long and short term campers.
