This is the largest capital works project undertaken by the Sydney Olympic Park Authority since ‘the best games ever’.
The aim of the project was to provide public access to the Brick Pit site which has remained closed to the public due to both safety and environmental reasons. The Ring Walk is an aerial walk elevated approximately 20m above the pit floor which provides essential habitat for the endangered Green and Golden Bell Frog. This award winning structure is architecturally designed to create an unbelievably light and slender appearance.
This Project was undertaken in the disused quarry on the Sydney Olympic Site. There were many diverse environmental issues to be investigated, monitored and resolved during the project life cycle.
