Location: Hawkesbury LGA, NSW
Project type: Project Management
Budget: $2.346M
Status: Business Case Completed
Organisation: Hawkesbury City Council

To deliver the vision of thriving, connected, liveable and vibrant town centres, Hawkesbury City Council have undertaken extensive strategic planning and community consultation to guide the Wayfinding Signage Project, also known as ‘Getting around and Discovering the Hawkesbury’. Council intends to replace all existing end of life signage throughout the LGA in order to improve how visitors and residents navigate through the townships and villages.

Stages 1 and 2 of the Wayfinding Signage project are already being delivered in the ‘Macquarie Towns’ (visitor campaign) of Richmond, Windsor and South Windsor, serving to also add value to the planned beautification streetscape projects in these towns. Stage 3 of the Wayfinding Signage project will deliver 26 Entry Gateway Signs as well as Identification signs, blade signs, large & small totems and inlay signs for footpaths) in 11 locations.

In May 2022, Hawkesbury City Council engaged Complete Urban to prepare a business case and provide associated documentation including an opinion of probable cost and visualisation for the WestInvest Grant Funding Application.

The project was successfully funded by the State Government in late 2022.
