Woodbury Reserve Upgrade

Location: Glossodia, NSW
Project type: Business Case, Grant Submission, 3D Visualisation
Budget: $8.826M
Status: Business Case Completed
Organisation: Hawkesbury City Council

Woodbury Reserve is 19.2 hectares including diverse bushland landscapes, located a 15 minute drive north of Richmond and approximately an hour’s drive from Sydney’s CBD.

With over two years of considered planning and widespread consultation, a masterplan was developed by Place Design Group to improve spaces and facilities to increase social connection and inclusion, encourage active lifestyles, increase participation in sport and better cater for all ages, including the predicted ageing population.

The reserve caters for all ages, offering diverse landscapes and biodiversity including bushland flora and fauna, semi-rural open spaces and features a watercourse with native wetland plants.

In May 2022, Hawkesbury City Council engaged Complete Urban to prepare a business case and provide associated documentation including a revised opinion of probable cost and 3D visualisation for the WestInvest Grant Funding Application. The project was successfully funded by the State Government in late 2022.
