COMPLETE URBAN (CU) prepared the concept design for the Adelong Main Street upgrade, focused on enhancing the town centre’s safety, accessibility and public realm while respecting the character of this historic regional main street.
The design introduces traffic calming measures, improved pedestrian connections, new street tree planting, landscape buffers and opportunities for outdoor dining to support local businesses and strengthen the town’s identity.
The project also addresses existing drainage issues through an upgraded stormwater network and improved overland flow management. Two streetscape options were developed, balancing parking supply with expanded pedestrian space and landscaping to create a more attractive and functional main street environment for residents, visitors and the broader Snowy Valleys community.
