COMPLETE provided design services and full documentation of a sporting clubhouse and ancillary infrastructure across an existing site catering for the Ipswich BMX Club.
The project includes a new clubhouse and amenities, canteen, storage, and pathway connectivity throughout the overall site. The existing site has environmental impacts and constraints due to former uses as both a quarry/ excavation site and then a landfill site and is also prone to flooding.
A solution was developed which responds to the existing site constraints and delivers a high-quality experience for competitors and patrons. The buildings are fully inclusive in their design and allows all members of the community to use the facilities.
Environmental sustainability design practices and principles were adopted and consideration was given to water saving devices, solar generation of power, use of sustainable materials, and an overall reduction in the carbon footprint of the built structure and facility.
