The revitalisation of the North Richmond Community Precinct is a transformational project designed to meet the needs of the future.
Complete Urban were engaged to prepare a business case, concept plan and visualisation for the WestInvest grant funding application in May 2022.
An indoor sports stadium, library, youth performing spaces and an arts studio will all be incorporated into the revitalised North Richmond Community Precinct. Outdoor spaces such as BBQs, shaded picnic areas and shared bike paths will further contribute to creating cohesive and connectedness and improving liveability for local residents. These facilities will provide much needed essential services to the growing population in the Hawkesbury LGA.
The Federal Government have committed to contributing $2.5M towards an Evacuation Centre to be developed on the site. The evacuation centre will provide disaster relief for emergencies such as the recent 2021 and 2022 flood events along with office solutions for Council teams to mobilise for recovery centres to provide essential services to the community.
The project was successfully funded by the State Government in January 2022.
