Grafton Regional Art Gallery
The Grafton Regional Gallery was awarded the Minsters Award of Excellence at the IPWEA NSW & ACT Engineering Excellence Awards 2022.
In collaboration with Clarence Valley Council, COMPLETE worked with Council Stakeholders to gather relevant information about the new facility and prepare a project requirements documentation pack incorporating a Statement of Works that will be used in conjunction with the current concept design to allow Council to tender the project for a Design and Construct GC21 Contract.
Hughes Street Multi-Deck Carpark
Hughes Street Multi-Deck Carpark located in Cabramatta won the Category 8 award at the IPWEA NSW & ACT Engineering Excellence Awards 2022. The $12M project provides an additional 198 paid parking spaces for commercial delivery vehicles and public cars. COMPLETE provided project management support to Fairfield City Council during the feasibility, planning and contractor procurement stage of the project.
Nathan Road Sports Complex
The new home of the Redcliffe Tigers AFC – Nathan Road Sports Ground – wins the AFL Project of the Year for 2020. COMPLETE provided engineering, architectural, landscape architecture, geotechnical, irrigation & sports field detailed design and documentation for the project. The facility was designed in accordance with the national AFL guidelines including the AFL’s current policy for the participation of women in the AFL. The new facility was opened in mid-2020 and represents a significant investment in the future of AFL in this region of South East Queensland.

Award: Excellence in Road Safety Engineering at IPWEA NSW Engineering Excellence Awards 2018.
Centennial Parklands Sports Centre Precinct Refurbishment
Awards: Projects greater than $500,000 but less than $5 million at IPWEA NSW Engineering Excellence Awards 2018.
Prairiewood Waterplay Park “Aquatopia”
The Aquatopia facility located at Prairiewood received a Highly Commended award at the 2017 Engineering Excellence Awards.
COMPLETE Urban were commissioned to Project Manage the Detailed Design Phase as well as the Construction Phase. COMPLETE were instrumental in improving Fairfield City Council project management systems to ensure that this very complex project was designed and constructed with minimal disruptions and defects as well as in a timely manner.
Reedy Creek Waste and Recycling Centre
The Reedy Creek facility won the Transfer Stations Excellence Award at the 2015 National Landfill and Transfer Stations Innovation and Excellence Awards.
Being an ex-landfill and quarry, the site was rehabilitated by removing the old works and recycling from demolition to create a visually appealing facility from both outside and inside the complex.
The facility incorporates best practice in design including a dedicated Recycling Drop-off and Retail Store providing a front end resource recovery area, dual weighbridge, drop off areas for the recovery of green waste and construction and demolition waste, a Residual Waste and Secondary Recycling area consisting of twelve bulk bins and other collection facilities for the receipt of dry general waste and secondary resource recovery opportunities.
Helensvale Library and Cultural Community Youth Centre
The library was awarded a Regional Commendation in the Gold Coast/Northern Rivers 2014 Australian Institute of Architects Architecture Awards. The award acknowledges the significant contribution the Library and Community Centre makes to the public realm and architectural quality of public buildings on the Gold Coast.
The project was also awarded a Public Architecture State Award at the 2016 Australian Institute of Architects Architecture Awards.
Tamarama Kiosk and Services Building
COMPLETE won the 2014 Master Builders Association of NSW Winner NSW MBA Excellence in Construction Awards – Public Buildings up to $5M for Project Management work on the Tamarama Kiosk and Services Building.
In 2015 the project was awarded the Australian Institute of Architects, NSW Chapter Urban Design – Lloyd Rees Award.
Hawkesbury Condition Audit
The Hawkesbury Condition Audit won the Excellence Award at IPWEA NSW Conference in Coffs Harbour 2012.
Pizzey Park Community Skate Park and Youth Precinct
COMPLETE received a Special Mention for Community Enhancement for the Pizzey Park Community Skate Park and Youth Precinct project at the 2011 Gold Coast Urban Design Awards.
Kurrawa Pratten Parklands
COMPLETE Urban has received an award for their design of the All Abilities Playground at Kurrawa Pratten Parklands in Broadbeach QLD. The Playground has been declared the 2011 State Winner of the Queensland Inclusive Community Champions Award. These awards recognise services, venues and individuals throughout Queensland who make an outstanding contribution to the development of an inclusive community in Queensland.
The Inclusive Community Champions Awards are coordinated by the Spinal Injuries Association of Queensland and presented by the Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AC, at Government House in Brisbane. The State Winner was announced following 12 regional awards which were held recently throughout the State.
