COMPLETE were engaged to provide professional consulting services for the new Nathan Rd Sporting Precinct located at Kippa-Ring on the Redcliffe peninsula. The facility provides 2 Australian Football League (AFL) fields, clubhouse, playground & associated roadways & carparking on a square site of approximately 16.6 hectares. The site is intended to accommodate a 3rd training oval in the future and has a number of pedestrian linkages to neighbouring residential areas as well as a proposed wetland & existing remnant swamp oak community.
COMPLETE provided engineering, architectural, landscape architecture, geotechnical, irrigation & sports field detailed design and documentation for the project. The project was designed in accordance with the national AFL guidelines including the AFL’s current policy for the participation of women in the AFL. The new facility was opened in mid-2020 and represents a significant investment in the future of AFL in this region of South East Queensland.
