COMPLETE was engaged by Gold Coast City Council to design the future extension of the Pizzey Park Youth Precinct. The intention of the design is to create a skate park that caters for a range of skill levels from novice to advanced that can be used for competitions and public events, while respecting and celebrating the national iconic status of the Pizzey bowl.
This project is sited on an old waste disposal area and due consideration was required of the various environmental risks encountered under constructing this project on the waste dump.
The project received a Special Mention Award for Community Engagement at the Gold Coast 2011 Urban Design Awards.
